The orcs are supposed to be a little bigger than Arnold in the Conan the Barbarian movie. That's how they were in Warcraft 2 and 3. Even in the vanilla WoW animations. What we see in the movie is a total lack of suspension of disbelief. That is the main reason why the Warcraft movie was a cringe fest to me.
The audience is certainly there for a Warcraft 2. If Legendary does decide to greenlight a Warcraft sequel they could choose to go the Resident Evil path in how they release the movie.
The movie is Warcraft 1, orcs show up from their world and fight humans who live there. Warcraft 2, the war ramps up and more human nations get involved (Arthas's dad was the political leader of this Alliance, Lothar the military leader), orcs lose and get stuck in camps.
As a gateway known as the Dark Portal opens to connect the two worlds, the humans face destruction while the orcs face extinction.
