All the extra components made the Lancer Evo 5 70 pounds heavier than the outgoing Evo. This, combined with the refined drivetrain, still made the Evo 5 less prone to understeer. It was also more aerodynamic thanks to the redesigned front bumper, spoiler, and extra openings on the hood.

Evo is slightling bigger then the orifinal. I'd highly recommend the Evo. I got the 011D Evo with the front mesh panel and plan to have 13 fans in it. Actually I got 16 fans lol, I plan to do a push/pull on the aio now lol. xl is slightly larger but Evo is better designed. XL is bigger. WpWQf.
