Running experience, gender, weight, height and a whole host of external and environmental situations will make a difference to the stopwatch. It's a good time for a beginner. Your age is important as well. Look at the age rating tables to determine how good you are. I'd say anything over 70% is excellent. My first 5k was 38minutes with much walking. after like 2-3 months i did 24 mins with only a couple walking breaks and got hurt.

A terrible time might be approximately 50-60 seconds, which isn't strictly horrible, but it is much slower than a typical freestyle swimmer. An average time would be between 40 and 45 seconds, give or take. Finally, a respectable freestyle time would be 35 seconds or less. A good time? I'd say anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes.
What is a good time to run a 5K race? Most 5K race organizers report an average finish time of approximately 30 minutes for male runners and 36 minutes for female runners. Of course, these averages vary with age and running experience.
