no, it's still alive in 2020 and has enough active servers and players to enjoy the game. but of course it's not as popular as newer cod games, considering game's age (12). most servers are hosting team deathmatch and server rules are determined by admins who pay for them. check gametracker to see what servers are active for this game and which maps and modes are being played on.

Graphically it doesn't look better, but overall, WaW is a much better World War 2 experience with their amazing voiceovers/sounds/music. Not calling WW2 inferior, it just doesn't pull it off as well :' (. Yep gameplay is not as good as World at War, sorry. A lot of things look really similar.

Not exactly. BO3 on 7th gen consoles was still BO3, it was just the multiplayer and Zombies with no supply drops and no dedicated servers. This is an entirely different game from World at War.
